How To Have God’s Guidance 9 – Deep Movements In The Heart

These words of Peter's moved them deeply, and they said to him and to the other apostles, "Brothers, what should we do
(Acts 2:37 LivingBible_Taylor)
God is life changing not superficial. Peter, Esther, Job and Paul were ordinary people to start with, yet their deep self-knowledge and repentance brought about an extraordinary life-transformation, which promoted them to become spiritual giants and bible heroes! The ministry of the Holy Spirit is in the heart, so in order to follow God accurately, we must pay attention to our hearts.  The heart has depths, one can be very superficial, always operating from the outer layer to just react to the stimulation of the senses to resent and be trapped.  The Holy Spirit wants to teach us to go beyond the physical reaction to the spiritual senses.  Our spiritual senses teach us to conduct ourselves to get an upper hand over the devil; to be in charge, even a tough situation; to eventually defeat the evil one and win in the end.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil
(Hebrews 5:14 KJV)
.. whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish..
(Hebrews 5:14 AMP)
Exercising our spiritual senses instead of carnal ones; is vital to obtaining success in life battles. Maturity is transformational self-discipline.  This happens by going deep into your heart to get to the direction of the Holy Spirit.  Esther was a little village girl until her heart was moved deeply by the Holy Spirit.  As she yielded to the stirring in the depth of her heart, she became transformed and her calling fulfilled.  Peter reacted all the way even when he was in the presence of Jesus, his Savior until he was confronted with his own sinfulness.  Then his heart was moved deeply and he became a different man!  To get to your spiritual senses, you must get deeper into your heart to feel the move of the Holy Spirit.
Psalms 42:7 KJV
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts:
all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me
