The Joyful Team

Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God …righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

“Joy” is never individualistic but works with others in a team. In fact you will find that all spiritual forces work as teams. The other members of the “Joyful Team” are Righteousness, Peace, Hope (Romans 15:13) , Faith (Philippians 1:25) and Love, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance or Self-control. (Galatians 5:22,23) If you want to be successful and cheerful, you must be willing to team up with the other members of the “Joyful Team”. You get to know and yield to the operations of Righteousness and Peace; these forces will stop and protect you from bribery, greed and wickedness; you also need to grow in the understanding and working of Faith and Hope. These forces keep you positive, filling you with joyful anticipation and expectation about your future in the Lord. Then you submit to the voice of Love, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness in your relationship and conduct with men. When you are about to burst out in wrathful accusations, you listen to the voice of Meekness and Self-control also. This “Joyful Team” will definitely guarantee you with a life of “joy unspeakable and full of glory”! This “Joyful Team” undergirds you with the standing power of the Holy Spirit against all the attacks, seductions, distractions and confusion of the enemy. They are strong Kingdom forces unlike fickle human feelings; that is why even in tough times, there is still abundance of joy. (2 Cor. 8:2) There is refreshing in the ministry of Joy. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is inseparable from Joy. (1 Thess 1:6) Joy is the expression of freedom, deliverance, salvation and victory.

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the place, the ministry, the fountain of Joy!

Psalm 48:2 Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King.
Matthew Henry “The joy of the Lord will arm us against the assaults of our spiritual enemies and put our mouths out of taste for those pleasures with which the tempter baits his hooks.”

God bless you!
