How To Build Your Spirit To Be Strong

Proverbs 18:14 amp The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble

How do I build my spirit?
You have to make the conscious decision to do it. God has put His Spirit in your spirit to provide for your spiritual greatness.

1. Meditating on the Word of God, especially the Word of Jesus.
John 6:63 Jesus’ Word is the living manna. We must eat of His Word. His Words are spirit and life. Read the words of Jesus. Meditate, memorize, pray, confess; live by the Word.

Remember to test the spirits. The spirit of God is the spirit that is of the Light and of righteousness, it draws the best out of you, is steady and steadfast, and is of the foundation of life.

Romans 8: 6-7 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

1 Corinthians 13:1 amp love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by Gods love for and in us)

Jesus has come to demonstrate and impart to us godly living. Heaven has come to earth so we may possess it. My spirit is the most important part of me, and it is reflected in my character in the eyes of men. If you look at the life of Jesus, He meant what He said. His words counted, and His actions were honorable, respected by all men. We must be conformed to the character and thoughts of Jesus, in our thoughts and our actions. The Bible always inspires us to higher living.

Discernment 1

1 John 4:1-2 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

We must “test” the spirit to see whether it is of God or not. To believe in God, we require a good foundation, i.e. being rooted and grounded in the Word. Without a good foundation, a Christian’s life can be a ruin and is definitely not a good testimony. God is not a fake and God is not fanatical. Before God sent Jesus, He planned it even before the foundation of the world. God is a planner.
